Economics

The Economics division in SAIPAR operates through an Economics Research Working Group (ERWG) that comprises of SAIPAR research staff and researchers, and scholars from collaborative institutions. The ERWG is supported and mentored by an International Advisory Board. The division aims to improve the understanding and practice of economics in Zambia and Southern Africa. It seeks to do this by conducting research and policy analysis on different thematic areas and topics in economics, and by disseminating the evidence. The Economics division is established as SAIPAR’s leader in undertaking, facilitating and coordinating high-quality economic research and analysis, training and networking, and policy and academic dialogue and debate.
